Porcelain wall bushing comprises porcelain bushing, a current-carrying conductor, an intermediate flange, and end accessories. The main insulation is porcelain sleeves. The intermediate flange is normally grounded. The current conductor of the wall bushing is a copper or aluminum busbar. The conductor passes through the HV current. The end accessories serve as a connection between the conductor and the porcelain sheds. The surface of the porcelain sleeves is provided with an umbrella to increase the creepage distance and improve the discharge characteristics. To increase the corona and sliding flashover voltage of 12-40.5kV bushing, the porcelain sleeves are provided with large sleeves on both sides of the flange and covered with semi-conductive glaze.

Installation
There are two installation methods for bushings on walls or tank shells: forward installation and reverse installation. The copper conductor wall bushing has both methods, which often easily make mistakes during operation, resulting in a shortened discharge distance and affecting bushing performance. The aluminum conductor and busbar wall bushing have unified reverse installation, which effectively utilizes the height of the porcelain bushing and reduces the size of the bushing.
